which duo points affect cd booting?

Im wondering exactly the points on the Duo/Duo2SE/any other chip really that are for booting cd media. I got this v5 that will only boot dvd backups but not ps2 cd or psx backups, though it will boot originals of cds. I've tested 3 chips in this unit, 2 of the chipd worked in other units just fine after. The install looks fine and all but I'm still wondering _exactly_ what do look at/redo. Thx!

I have found the problem with DUO chip. I tried to make all the wires look nice so I ran long wires. It didn't work well, sometimes detect sometimes don't. So I cut all the wires as short as possible. The result is awsome. It detects all the time. I even tried to turn off, then turn on by Reset which it's support to turn on by Eject, it works flawlessly. So you better try to cut all the wires from the the modchip,then resolder them again on the chip. That 's what I did, I didn't even remove wires from the mobo, just those wires on the DUO only, then placed the chip at a location near all the wires, cut them short the resolder. Good luck.

Well the install has very short wires (all less than 10cm) so i already told the guy ill install a O2mod, not a big deal
