I'm tryinf to install a duo 2 on a v4 gap bios ps2. I used thicker wire for ground and power. When I turn on the ps2 I get a black screen and the eject button doesn't work. Can someone tell me point I should look at first before I start over.
Thanks

Take the modchip off and try to get it to work like normal again. That's the best thing to do.
But don't forget to check for bridged connections, loose wires, or solder splashes first. :D
Also cover the chip with some sort of insulated tape so the chip doens't make contact with the metal cover.
I redid most of the wires and now I get picture on my screen. But now the disc just spins. When i go to browser it says no data and under that it says reading disc. Any advice.
Thanks
Does it do that with originals or with backups? Sounds like a laser issue now since a faulty install would usually give a red screen of death.
check bios for shorts
remove the chip and check that the ps2 still functions properly. If not check all the palces where you soldered for splashes.
I pulled the chip and it still doesn't boot. Can someone point me to a guide on adjusting the laser. I spoke to the owner and he forgot to tell me he had problems booting games.
the laser is either worn out or need adjustingQuote:
