I have a v3 ps2 with gh-007 no gap, but I can only find diagrams for gap...should I use the diagram for gh-007 gap? Just wondering since there are different diagrams for gap and no-gap and others like gh-006...TIA![]()

Anyone? I'm sorry if it's a stupid question but I can't find any info about it so please answer if you can help me![]()
thanks

To be honest i didnt know there was gap/no gap on v3. I thought that was only v4. All modchips ive installed ive never seen such v3 gap/no gap, ONLY on v4.
Your ps2 has SPCH-30004 and has 10 screws under?
It is SCPH-30004 and it has 10 screws under and no "warning" mark. It says "gh-007" on the board...And from what I can tell it looks exactly like this one:

Except in area 3, where there's is a gap on the chip, I have no gap...
Any ideas?

10 screws should be v3 yes.
Yeah that's what I thought...but what about this diagram thing?Originally Posted by EspeN
I have a board looking exactly like in the gh-007 gap diagrams except mine is NO gap, and there are no gh-007 no gap diagrams for duo2 out there, so my question is, is it the same diagram for gap and no gap in this case?

are you sure you are looking at the right bios chip, it is on the unserside of the board, from memory there is a similiar one on the top of board that has no gap
I think I'm looking at the right one...but you can tell me here's pics:

I think you soldered to the wrong chip. You're suppose to solder to the no-gap on top of the board.
Use this diagram: http://duomodchip.com/english/instal...o2se_gh006.jpg
I know your board is GH-007 but just give it a try.
Ok I'll give it a try then...thanks![]()
