I'm lost! After installing a DUO SE in two different V9's it keeps giving me the same problem, the PS2 is acting as if no chip is installed and red screening with backups and it plays DVDs as if no chip is installed. I have removed the chip an re-installed it but it's still not working. Has anyone else had these problems - any help would be greatly appreciated! I have done many installs and never had any probs before, thanks in advance.

I'm 100% positive that everthing is installed perfectly! I have installed the chip 3 times and installed it twice in another v9 and still I'm getting a red screen! I have installed chips in lots of PS2's and never ever had problems like this. Do broken chips occur that often?

The only Duo2s that I had probems on V9/V10 were Clones - Real Duo2se work every time for me

mfield, your chip is probably shagged... try to leave out the Z wire, see if that works.

Alright lads, I changed the Duo SE for another Duo SE and it worked 1st time! This means that it must of been a bad chip! Thank god I got it sorted as it was drivin me totally nuts! Thats the 1st time I have had a bad chip and what a pain in the hole it is!
