take your multi meter and put it on the point on the board in your diagrams and then on the chip with the same letters . if u find one that dusint beep then thers your problem other than that ther is no other way we can help u take a picture or just rip the whole thing and try try again..
OK I removed everything, and I'm still getting a no data error, going straight to browser most of the time. Sometimes it attempts to read, but nothing. All fuses seem fine, no bridges. What could be the problem? Any suggestions?
See if you can see a bridge under the bios.. or laser is dead ok what you need to do is take your flux and drench your bios then use the wick and get all 9 pins on bolth sides that you solder to . ther is probly a brige that you cant see and your meeter isent picking up. i had this problem doing a repair on v9 costomer boched it up good and removed resistors and caps all over. after the wic work re touch 9 pins with small amount of solder to board.. See if you can see a bridge under the bios.. if its under the bios pins like my costomers wher you need to lift the pins and dewic that sucker out and lay them back down. If you want to try for a quick fix get an exacto knife and scrape between the bios..
I did the flux thing on the bios... seems to have cleaned it up a lot... still no disk error. Maybe laser needs adjustment?
Is there a chance I blew it out?
