Hi,
i have been offered some cheap DUO 2 clones and wanted to know if they are any good and reliable before putting in a bulk order.
Anyone had any experiences with these before?
Thanks for and feedback

why buy clones? is the originals that expensive?
Preach on, Snoop.
Here's the skinny on the clones, as I understand it... the code on them is a direct copy of the original, so you'll have no issues there. The issue will be, if anything, the hardware. The asics (chips) on clones are rarely built to the standards of the originals. If a clone is to fail, it's often hardware related.
Having said that, I haven't seen the quality of a DUO clone yet, so I don't know. All I comment on is that one failure... just one... and the time you spend warranting your work will most likely offset your savings.
Have a look at the quality of the sources homepage for these unreliable and poorly made clones. ( I wont put it here as I have no wish to help them part more fools from their money )
They cant even get a decent digi camera pic or change a rushed addin update text to match the rest of the site.
Now ask yourself if they dont give 2 flying fcuks about how they present theirself to the world do you really think they will spend any time or money on quality control issues?
Just remember CLONES = POORLY MADE & UNRELIABLE
Installed a few duo1 clones & mars clones...never had a problem.
Thought i had a problem with an Apple-clone, but that was due 2 PS2 not beeing able to read +R media made for 4X but burnt at 8X
Thats just my humble opinion
Best regards

duo clones are probly the same code almost. since the code is based off a free code
Just go with originals. I remember lots of talk about magic 3.1 clones and all the problems. I actually got burnt 2 out of 3 times with magic clones, and I for one will not try cloned chips again.
The amount of time spent troubleshooting a non-working clone installation is not worth saving the extra $$$. Trust me,... I've had a few nights of pulling my hair out due to cheap Magic3.1 clones not working.
Cheers! I personally always go for the original (for anything i buy!), but was just curious to see if they were any good. Given that I will ultimately be passing them on to a 3rd party, I'll save alot of hassle and go original!
