dont know how you work that out
the mods only patch data going away that dont make it sensitive.

you need shorter and thicker power and ground wire's seperate d and e from each other and all other wire's and twist pair them both to ground.

netmech I was hoping I could do something "simple" in order to fix it short of having to do a full reinstall.. I think if that was the case then I would send it off to another installer and let it be his problem of getting it to work.. just that I've spent too long in my books piss farting around with it .. i thought if chances were high that I could fix it just be redoing the gnd/power and d&e wires I would do that myself.. not that I don't appreciate your advice or anything!!!

disconnect wires D and E if you still get a black screen.. then you have a bridge on the bios, or you have a few wires mixed up... telling you right now dms3 chips are a pain in the ass to install for beginners. I suggest you remove the chip completely, clean the board and return the ps2 back to normal working condition, then redo the install like i have shown you. I used to hate dms3 installs but after about 10 dms3 installs ive learned a few tricks.. im just passing my knowledge to you. whatever you choose , good luck and i hope you get it working.

I sent it off to this other installer, and got it back WORKING!!!.. now i'm happy .. basically he did a reinstall of the chip.. everything seems to test out ok as well.. ps1 games, multi region, etc.. oh well an end to my dilemma's .. i'm just curious as to what his install looks like, but i'm too lazy to open the bugger up..!!
