    How come it won't boot games when the system is warm from being on for a few hours? This chip was professionally installed by modchipman.com!!!

    LOL. Explain. How is that possible? If your PS2 is too hot the solder melts itself then solder itself back when the PS2 is cool? Sorry I've never heard of anything like it, and you probably installed 1,000,000,000 PS2s and experienced this before.

    He meant cold. Meaning it's a solder point that is not making connection but it looks like it.

    then why would it NOT boot backups when the system has been on for a few hours but still boot origionals? That doesn't make sense.

    The chip sounds like it is overheating. It would not work when it gets too hot, leaving you with the the ability to only boot originals.

    why then can I boot into dev mode, or to hdd explorer, load apps from my memory card?
