what exactly do you mean? if youre talking about the disc drive, no i dont think you need protection lawl

Both of these need some-type of laser protection fix applied, as even if they were not modded, the laser had a good chance of burning up.
Yes, I have a v9 (50001), that's why I asked. Is this very common, even if I don't play too many hours without interruption?
