gamegizmo are good to buy from.

modchips don't affect the network adapter, once the game has booted that modchip isn't a part of the equation any more.

Stay Away From The Neo 4.5 Completely!! I Tried To Install It And I Destroyed My PS2. The Neo 4.5 Has This Clip To Eliminate Any Wires That Had To Have Been Soldered To The BIOS CHIP. In Theory This Should Work But The Clip They Give You Is Horrible. It Dosent Touch The BIOS Chip And Whats Worse Is That You Have To Cut a Track So That Means If You Remove The Modchip Your PS2 Will Not Operate After Cutting Tracks. Well Guess What I Cut The Track And Then Discovered The Clip Dosent Work So I Destroyed My 300$ PS2 And I am SOO Sad. I Have Found Out This Has Happened To Everyone That Installed This Mod So As Of 11\16\02 The Neo 4.5 Had Been Discontinued

    Hehe,
I sure feel sorry for you. THanx for all the advice. Im not new into the scene anymore. Did alot of research and im getting a Messiah2 pre-mod from Vietnamese for cheap. You should pre-order from him if you want one, it cheap. Sure cant wait for it, i got my network adapter ready to fire up.

Just solder a short wire around the cut track. No big deal. You should have known that if you dont have descent soldering skills not to install yourself, nevermind the hardest ps2 mod that exists.
