I have this unit:

10 screws on the bottom of the unit
Bar Code: PT11645XXXX
Serial: U1645XXX
Motherboard: GH-006
BIOS Chip: 2000 SCEI B 10 020 S
Date Code 1A
NTSC U/C
SCPH-30001

The mobo matches most closely to the picture at china-magic for the V3, except that the BIOS chip is located in the blank area below the Hyundai GM71V18163CT5 and to the right of the Sony CXP102064. Otherwise all of the connection points are identical, except for the ground pad which is nearer the +5V point.

I put in the magic2 V3 and the unit boots (whirling electrons) and recognizes the memory card, but when it goes to read a commercial game it says it is not a PS2. I tried all jumper settings and tried removing the Z wire. I carefully checked all of the connections under a microscope and buzzed them out. Gave up and removed it and the unit works fine so nothing harmed. Never got the to point of trying backups.

Anyone had any luck with Magic2 on this unit? Is it possible this is a wire length problem? Which jumper setting should be used? Any help would be appreciated.
