    I've installed magic V on lot's of PS2 version 9 and it's work great.
I have this deal of buying 25 magic V clones (looks the same) for 7$ each.
From what divineo saying it's reliable as the original, so i wonder if any one checked this out!!!

I'm also thinking of buying the duo 2 insted, i've hered that it's reliable chip but didn't had the chance to check it out.

I don't know about the duo2's, but can say that the original duo's are great chips.

I am sorry, but I have no experience with the clones. From what I have read, I would just stay away from them. They might be ok at first, but then fail, or cause problems with the lasers, or not work at all.

Anyways, I figure it is best to support the companies that first came out with the chip, even though I have read that duo people possibly took some ideas from Ice or something like that.

you can pick up duo chips, the originals, for less than $10 each when buying in quantities from impactmods.com. Of course, these chips only work from version 1-8. I have bought a few different chips from them, and I am very happy. Obviously happy enough to give them a plug.

    Good luck.

I'd avoid from clones, no matter how cheap they are. No support, or the support is poor, and let's not talk about what happens if you get a dud chip, the chance you get your money back or the get the chip replaced is usually zero... There are several topics on this site asking help and a lot of these problems could be simply solved by avoiding from chips like clones. Magic V might be cheap enough, I think none really needs a saving of 1 usd, while losing a machine on the other side or spending hours with troubleshoting.

    regards, Stephen

You right, but the Magic V clone look the same as the Magic original.
There is no way knowing if it's clone , unless buying from a trusted dealer.

And this is the main problem. (KNOWING WHO'S TRUSTED AND WHOS NOT)

Sometimes the most trusted websites are selling clones as originlas

I've been sold Magic clones in the past, and have had no issues. Still, I stick with Console Corner, just cause I 'trust' Steve not to screw me. So far so good.

As for the DUO2, I'm a big fan. This has quickly become my chip of choice for 9/10's.

I will use this space to give a plug to my newest supplier of chips. I am not a huge installer or anything, only about 6', but I do a few here and there.

I have to say that they have great customer service and are worth checking out. Selection is small, but I am sure it will grow as they get to be a bigger and better supplier.

    Check out impact mods
