Hello,
Concerning the DNAS test failure met on the on-line games backups and original imports with modchips in "PS2 boot" mode, I received an interesting answer of MATRIX TEAM's technicians.
Read rather...
" Hi,
this is the reply I received from the technicians.
Should you need further informations or explanations, feel free to write us at any time.
Best Regards,

Luke,
The e-Mail is very interesting one.
The point is that DNAS is a dynamic Authentication.
If the Chip is disabled BEFORE the check, the game is recognized as a Back-Up or import and the authentication fails.
If the Chip is disabled AFTER the check (or is not disabled) the game is recognized as an original but the modchip is identified, so the authentication fails.
The big problem is that becouse it is a DYNAMIC control, there is not a standard procedure for this control to be executed.
Each time could be done in a different way.
As of today SOCOM NTSC user have no DNAS.
SOCOM PAL user have weak DNAS that probably detect only cheat devices.
It will be interesting to know if this French user is trying to use also cheat devices or not.
Anyhow, for what are the informations available as of today, there is very little to be done if you are trying to access the SOCOM PAL service with a back-up copy of your game.
There has been several threads on many forums like PS2Newz.net dealing with this problem.
See as example: http://www.ps2newz.net/forums/showth...highlight=dnas

I think there is a possible alternative to pass through the DNAS test in "PS2 boot" by patching the on-line game in order to replace the updating routine of DNAS test by the old one version in Socom Pal.
Unfortunately I doubt to have competences to work this...
If people feel able to challenge it...
