DMS3v2 PS2V7 –
I just installed a DMS3v2 into my V7 PS2, with a board number of GH-019, Verified the solders, they are all good, tested all the ones that are close to each other, and other points with a multimeter, and they all are fine. When ever I try booting my PS2, theres no signal going to the TV. Also, I tried holding the Eject button for 3-5 secs, to power on the PS2, and it had the same effect, no video signal.
Forgot to mention, wires D and E are not crossing each other at all.
use a twisted pair wire ... with one of the wire going to GND at each end. The other wire from ie .. D on the chip to D on the board.. This should cancel out alot of interference .. you can try just using twisted pair for D and E ..
(make your twisted pair simply by twisting two wires toghter. )
Have u tried posting in dms3 forum?
I used the troubleshooting guide at their websaite and it all worked like a charm.
PSX-Tech, I'll definatly try that, thanks.
Akira, I posted this on their forums as well, and looked through both those forums and these, the trouble shooting didnt help either
Thanks PSX-Tech, your advice fixed it, also showed me that the GND coming from the DMS3 wasnt actually conected to the PS2, guess it broke free
We are damn happy that got it to work
