    Hello people
I have a question regarding the DMS3 v2 modchip and a v9/v10 ps2. Is there any way that i can install a dms3 v2 modchip on the above consoles?

I have seen on many sites that dms3 v2 is compatible with ps2 v1 to v8 but i also have seen many sites that state : DMS3_v2 for ps2 v9!

    Any help would be appreciated...

    No it cannot.
Only DMS3-V9 can be installed in a V9 console.
This has to do with added patching routines in the DMS3-V9 chip for the V9 console I believe, wich are not present in a DMS3-V2

    Stay away from these sites!

Dms3.com is the official site and thats where you should get manufacture specs. Having to stock two seperate chips is an inventory challenge. I can verify that dms3v2 works flawless with ps2v7 and the dms3v9 works flawless with ps2v9 both ntsc u/c. The chips are physically different and labelled. dms3v2 labelled on back v1-v8, dms3v9 has v-9 stensiled on front lower left.
