DMS3+ in a v9...strange problem....PLZ HELP!
Alright...I installed a DMS3+ chip into a brand spankin' new v9...worked nicely except it would freeze when I tried to install DMS HDD Explorer. While looking for a solution here and on the DMS forums, I discovered that I had used the diagram for a DMS3...NOT THE DMS3+! I re-soldered her using the DMS+ points.....(changed the CLK and disconnected unnessasary points), and now...Black screen...will not boot. The video flickers on power up...thats all. Now this has been three days I've been searching and re-installing this chip. I've tried a thicker, shorter ground...multiple 3.3v sources..."D" and "E" wire isolation...checked the BIOS leads for shorts...anything and everything I could find. Still....same issue. I would just use it installed as I had it (DMSv9) if I could solve the freeze-up. I removed the chip, and it boots perfect. Did something go wrong when I used the DMSv9 diagrams? hmm.. Any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated. In dire need of a good nights sleep.
I'm using bios ver. 2.3
