    I am installing a DMS3 in a v9 Pal PS2...

got around to P-W only to find the vias looking a bit different and probably cannot solder to them , please can anyone tell me if they have soldered to points like these or any general help..

The vias are in the same position, but seem slightly smaller without the gold plating around them, its green, it could be a coating but I am hesitant to scrape it because as i said its smaller.. also you cant fit any kynar into the hole, i dont think anyway..

    HELP!

Well I got a finer blade and scraped away and what i belive to be the vias are infact underneath the green enamel. so all looks ok from here on in...

I was wary because I had done a previous mod where it wasnt like this on the same version, i have been told that sometime the thicknell of the enamel differes in thickness from board to board, so im guessing thats what it was
