    so so sad

    EDIT:

    - 50002 pal
    - all of my backups don't work, gives me "Please enter PS2 format disc" error -- got the same error 3 days ago, but a reset did the trick.
    - dvd's work, original and backups.
    - PS2Reality gives black screen.

it's not dead sounds like a wire has come loose everything is working in it's original form. originals and dvd movies mod's dont just pack up unless a problem was there to begin with qc maybe, your first stop want's to be at whoever installed it to rectify the situation.

99% sure i wouldnt advise opening and trying to repair the problem yourself.

take it to whoever installed the mod i assure you it's far from dead.

Problem is postage is $25 if I send it back to the modder.

My friend has a premiere award for systems technologies, he's offering to solder it for me for free, but no guarantees coz he hasn't touched those stuff in 2 years and he's never done a ps2 before.

Jackula Send it back to the person who modded it! Modders don't like to mess in a system that some one else has open and try to correct it just send it back don't be foolish.

Ugh! Will someone please teach these installers how to properly install mods? I've seen at least a half dozen posts in just the last two days that are obvious cases of wires coming loose.

actually I believe it's a bug with the 1.8 bios, might downgrade it to 1.6 before my modder opens tomorrow.

DMS3 V9 chip has a factory BIOS1.8 and does not work and never can or will work with BIOS1.6.

It will just give you red screens and errros on everything all the time
trust me.. I've tried it for testpurposes and to get it working had to revert to the stock 1.8 BIOS. the only BIOS bug in the 1.8 BIOS is the hanging after PS2 logo from coldboot with game in tray thing.
so flashing 1.6 is a waste of time.
