I installed the v9 chip in my v51000 PS2. I've been testing it and checking my connections for over 8 hours now and have read over the FAQ on the DMS website .When I boot up the PS2, I get a black screen. I can boot it up either by hitting reset or by hitting eject, so I know wire C isn't grounded. If I disconnect wire C, then the PS2 operates as normal. If I reconnect wire C after the PS2 has been turned on (via a temp switch), the PS2 continues to work normally unless I reset it. I checked all my wiring using a multimeter to make sure the connections to the board were all good. I also checked to make sure none of my conenctions were bridged or grounded. I do have one question. If I connect my multimeter to pins A & B (ground and power), should I be getting any sort of continuity at those points? I get about 1/2 a reading from those two points. Is there a possibility the chip is damaged? What else should I look for to determine this?
