DMS3 V9 on Australian PS2
DMS3 V9 on Australian PS2 –
04-22-2004,10:49 PM
Hi guys, Ive read a lot of guides and done a lot of researching so I hope I dont sound like a noob.
I have a DMS3 V9 and an Australian PS2. I think its a V9 and the model number is SCPH-50002. It has a dvd driver of 3.00A or so. I didnt do the installation of the chip since Im a noob at that, so I gave it to a techinician who I know.
He got the diagram for a V9 Playstation 2 and he installed it a couple of times, but it didnt work. So I got an exchange for my chip and he reinstalled it but to no avail.
Finally he found out that when the wire to the CLK was on the PS2 wouldnt boot. However if it was taken out it would.
So Im wondering, what kinds of errors I have made?
I think my problems are
1) My PS2 Version number.
2) The techinician might have installed it wrong.
Does the type of wire used to solder the modchip to the PS2 affect it?
Thanks for your time

I have installed quite a few in Australia..with no problems..
It is hard to say what he is doing wrong..Maybe try the ALT CLK point..and make sure that the DMS3 is a DVMS V9..
