I installed the DMS3 and the cd/dvd points were a pain. I have something wrong because backups are not loading, but when i load a real game i get the ps2 logo ut then it hangs. any advice??

you should have gotten a nice simple flip top for your v4, like i did!![]()
Recheck all of your points. Make sure D and E are laid flat and taped or glued to the board. I would guess the problem is in the controller points. Did you use the vias or the controller chip legs?
check around your bios get origs working first also should remove o-w and redo them
I removed the DMS3 and is working now, so I guess it must be some bad connection, I should have tried disabling the modchip before I removed them. AQs the the location I used the Controller pins, I could not get the vias to get solder on them.
heat the vias add sodler to them
I tried doing that, I soldered to vias before and had never had this problem I try heating it up and the solder just balls up on my soldering iron. Was thingking of adding a bit of flux. Does anyone know what are the chances of getting a v5 - v7 refurbished at eb or gamestop?
