DMS3 suddenly stopped working!

hi,
i installed a new DMS3 to a v5 PS2 it all went fine and all backups i tested went great.

the following night i turned on the PS2 but the screen was kinda flickering with quite alot of static kinda inteferance on screen.

now i can't boot no back up's at all but Original's boot fine
it's like the chip blew or something and not working anymore.

i've tried all the solution's on the DMS3 but no good.

can these chips just go without any warning?
what are the chance's of the place i bought it from swapping it for anouther one?

How long ago did you buy it and where did you buy it from. Check the reseller you got it from. They most likely have some kind of warranty unless it was wired wrong or wires came loose. Have you opened the machine to see if this isn?t the case anyway? Some times on a poor solder job wires can come loose and this would for sure make back ups not boot. It could also be a lazer adjustment problem.

i've opened it and checked all connections they are fine and solid

i made sure the wires are layed flat on the board too.

try taping reset 3 times

well i just tried tapping it 3 times from standby but some thing happens

the PS2 is working like no mod chip is installed

only 3 days old........but time to send it back for replacement i think
