I read this on ps2newz.net...
The DMS3 team has notified me that they have completed the testing of DMS3 Hardware v2.0. The new hardware defeats the v8 DVD-R check, and fixes disc authentication for incorrectly mastered PS2 discs (some DVD Rips).
Where can I get this DMS3 Chip and how much are they. Is it possible to get a chip that defeats the DVD-R Protection that is cheaper, and if it is Messiah2, I can get one THIS week only for $45 US Dunno what firmware it is though. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
magic 3.1 is cheaper. homebrew is cheapest. :)
i have one 1.0 DMS3 and one blue 2.0 DMS3 for testing purposes.
all 3 chips are working for booting games. i like most the homebrew.... :) best code from different people like in the xbox scene.
The Magic3.1 wont read DVD-R on a v8 though :S. Should I order a DMS2.0? Before I order that DMS, where can I order a Messiah2 with the newest firmware that does read dvd-r in a v8??
