DMS3 on PAL v3

Well.

I've installed DMS3 v1.0 on 2 v3 PAL PS2's, two for proof.

DVDR will not boot. These are 1:1 backups, that ran on both Messiah1 and Homebrew coded Sx28 previously fitted to each machine.

The boot goes solidly to a RSOD. From either browser or reset boot.

PS2 CDR/Import DVD are fine. ALthough browser booting is a little unreliable. Reset (With or without holding X) is perfect.

PS1 software won't browser boot at all, but the NTSC on PAL patching is excellent. It actaully runs in PAL50. Reseting and holding O is the only way to run PS1.

DVD multiregion is perfect as far as I can tell.


I need to know if DMS v2.0 is ok for DVDr on V3pal, and if divineo will swap my chips.

Here's an update.

The old NEO4 DVDr swap trick.

Booted DMS3 in PS2 mode. Pressed X to force ps2 mode during startup.
Goto Browser and inserted an original DVD game.
Waited for the gold disc to appear, then swapped with the DVDR I wanted to boot. Another Gold disc appeared. Hitting X Boots!.

inserting the dvdr first gave a RSOD. This is the only way I can make DVDR run on DMS3v1.0/1.2
