DMS3 not playing games, movies are fine, HELP!!!

i just got done installing a new DMS3 chip and it wont play ps2 games or backups. the ps2 will try to start the game but then goes back to the browser and to the red screen of death. it will play movies fine and it will play games only when i put the chip into stealth mode. i made sure all the soldering was at the correct points and solid. does anyone know which wires i should double check? which wires would cause the games not to play??
