  1. #1 dms3 install questions

    1. Whats the best way to attach the dms3 to the motherboard (hot glue or double-sided tape)?
    2. The placement on the mb should be the same as the messiah, right?
    3. Where is the best place to get the 20 guage wire and what is the best type (checked local radio shack and they only had speaker wire)?
    4. I thought I wanted eulectic (sp?) solder, but radio shack only had 62/36/2... I assume the 2% is silver. How does that change regular 63/37?
    5. It's ok to be generous with hot glue in securing wires? Any type of glue gun/glue I should stay away from?
    6. Is it good practice to glue over completed solder connections?

    Thanks

i dont even use hotglue or tape to keep the dms3 in place.. first thing i do is bridge solder from dms3 ground point to ps2 board ground... chip is secure then and your ground is only a new cm short.

hehe, I wish I can do that to the new v9 dms...IM a perfectionist and can't stand a non-straight placed chip on the board I attached a picture of my install...especiall be careful with the D and E points.
