dms3 automatic reboot.

Hi,
I just finish installed a dms3 v2.0 on a v3. When I'm play a game, it worked for awhile then the system automatic reboot. when i press the power button the system doesn't go off. Does anyone know why this is happening? or anybody come across something similar?
Any help would be appreciated.

you may be having an overheating problem...
try disasembeling the ps2 and ensure that the pads are resting against the CPU and ee chips properly...
and check that the fan is spinning freely

I was just reading your post @ dms3 site. I checked the heaksink and its press tight again the chips and the fan also spinning. Could it be anything else. I'll take it apart and recheck again and see if i ay miss something.

Any suggestion for me to try? I checked the heatsink and ajust it and make sure its tight against the chips, the fan is running.. It still keep on rebooting.

Leave the m/b outside and plug everything else in.. and turn it on.
Does it still reboot? If so, you might have a short somewhere. If not, it's probably a ventilation problem

well, I tested for continuity on every pin and all was beeping. So i guess its overheating. Anybody has a remedy for overheating?

actauly come to think of it when i did the internal IR mod.. the some points on the curcit board of the IR were shorting on the powersupply pins... so thebloddy ps2 wouldn't turn off.. had to flick the back power switch..

WOW, that fan thing is cool! i woulda never thought they would make something like that.
