DMS3 2.2 bios plus HDD = no Amplitude

I have a v7 ps2 with a dms3 installed with the newest bios (2.2) and the official HDD. It plays everything fine except for Amplitude. I've tried booting it under normal mode and fastboot and it hangs on the first loading screen every time. I also tried burning the game again and checking the disc for errors and it seems fine. Can someone else try this game with the same hardware and let me know if it works or not.

Amplitude Freezes at loading screen when I do fast Boot, But not normalTry holding "X" when booting it up
