Should i be concered that the dms3 2.0 does not work with the new action replay max? I know messah 2 pro works fine with it and the neo 2.1 with gameshark swap also works. now my friend says he has a magic 3.1 and action replay max works for him fine too but other have reported problems with it so not sure if maybe he has a messah 2 pro and is mistaken on his chip. If action replay can crash the dms3 2.0 and other mod chips too will game manufactors star to do the same to the dms3 2.0? anyone have any idea what the difference between the dms and the messah pro are and why would it work with one and not the other? I know both the dms and messah are based off the same chip. But not sure if that is where it ends. When i say action replay crashes the dms3 i mean only way to get action replay max to work is to disable the chip. Even with the orginal and orginal game if the modchip is on it will crash the ps2 and you will need to power it off from behind cause the reset will work. Any info would be great
    Thanks a lot

This is not the 1st time I hear some problems between AR and DMS3 v2.

Are you using firmware v1.6c ?

Yes i am useing 1.6C and I started a thread on PS2ownz.com and about 4 other users had reported the same problem with different model ps2 and one had 1.3 bois still on his machine and the same thing happend as with 1.6C. So what i am wondering is if the action replay max can render my dms3 useless are we going to see other developers doing the same thing? I know I can get rid of my dms3 right now but if alot of games start having problems then no one will want to buy my dms3. I have also reset my chip back to 1.3 by hitting the reset button 6 times like i read to do on dms forum. So dvd no long autoload so i am assumeing my chip is 1.3 but i have no way to confirm it tho. And i know the messah 2 pro and neo 2.1 works for sure with action replay max so i think maybe the dms3 is takeing up a memory address that ps2 developers think is a valid memory address. Like i stated a friend of mine bought a pre-moded system he order a magic 3.1 and for him it works. But someone esle could not get it to work on a magic 3.1 so not sure what chip he has either or if the version matters for that fact. Any ideas would be great.

    Thanks a lot

if you want to go back to 1.3 you'll have to do the reset thing, but this is only for once until you reset/turn off the ps2, if you want to keep 1.3 you'll have to flash it with 1.3 again. And maybe the dms team will fix this issue in 1.7, i sure hope so, what would else be the benefit of having a flashable modchip.
