DMS v9 reliablity?

I was looking at the threads about the dms v9 and it looks like a lot of people are having problems with it. Does the chip still have some bugs in it? Is it best to just stay away from the v9 right now and go for an older model?

i it sounds like only a problem with pal and jap consoles but are are some usa/canada reports but all the usa/canada ones i've done i've had no problems

My ps2v9 dms3v9 rocks. I set up on home stereo 5.1 digital optical cable and HDTV with Monster enhanced ps2 component AV inputs. No bugs, no problems and the v9 configed itself for video and sound. IMHO it is more stable more reliable then my two v7. Its snapier,. quieter and reads more media then my v7s. My system is an NTSC u/c like loy said. I am waiting for a IR remote.
No bugs. I used guncun2, DPR2 for DDR, multitap. forcefeed 2 stearing wheel by logitech all compatable.

Ive done a lot of Pal machines with DMS3 v9. Reliability is not 100%, but not far from. Some machines have problems autodetecting DVD-R backups. Also DMS3 v9 (and flash 1.8 i think)
have longer blackscreen on boot though.

yes .. flash 1.8 does have longer blackscreen on boot ... onther then that .. it is rock solid !!!..
The same gos to the messiah 2 ..
There is just too much BS going around ..

99% of probrams is the install ! ..

very stable, rock solid here. Look for an installer who will troubleshoot. With a good install they seam to act like mine. I couldn't be more satsfied.

I would go with 85% being installs problems the rest are either low quality media or laser error the messiah2 is a different problem the vote's are out on this one.
