disk read error with dvd

I installed the dms3 all psx cd works, cdrbackup works but not dvd orginal movies, backups and orginal games not working :\
maybe you guys can help me and tell me how to fix that ?

Laser... check your machine with another laser to see if that helps. I am almost sure that is the problem, but first check the ribbon cables too.
