Disk Read Error in browser Screen

i am getting this error message and ps2 wont doot games
installed magic3 and all was ok installed anti freeze chip ps2 games work but wouldnt allow psx games so removed the chip now getting disk read error in the browser screen

I ran into a problem similar to yours. I installed the magic3 and everything booted great. When I installed a switch to the magic3, ps2 backup would sometime boot but the ps1 backup would not boot at all. I mounted the chip outside the playstation 2 casing so I could not have accidently pulled out any connection on the main board when I installed the switch.

It turns out that I had a tiny little solder bridge between the mclr leg on the chip. I didn't even notice until I examined the chip with a magnifying glass.

na it wasnt that but i found out what it was some how the lead to the laser had come loose!
