Disc Read Error

I HAVE A SMALL PROBLEM WITH MY PS2 V4 NEO 2 +NO SOLDER MAGIC 3.1MODE CHIP, MY PS2 WAS PLAYING BACK UP GAMES NO PROBLEM, THEN SUDDENLY WHEN I TRIED TO USE MY SWAP MAGIC DVD BOOT UP DISC FOR MY BACKUP DISCSALL I GOT ON SCREEN WAS THE BROWSER SCREEN THEN MEMORY SCREEN WITH DISC READ ERROR, NOW MY PS2 DOES NOT EVEN PLAY PS2 ORIGINALS ,DOES THE LASER NEED RENEWED OR ADJUSTED IN SOME WAY, IF ANY ONE OUT THERE COULD HELP ME SOLVE THIS I`D BE VERY GRATEFUL.

well your laser needs adjusting or replacing. if i wer u i'd take your those neo 2 and no solder and only have the magic 3.1 chip

Arrrr, I agrees with Loy there, so I do. If'n ye gots a Magic 3.1 in yer system there be NO need fer the Neo 2. Why would ye bother doin' the swap thing whens ya got a Magic anyway???? I'm a bit confused on that, so I am. I hads a neo 2.2 on me old PS2 (v4) and after almost 1 yr I needed ta manually clean the laser lens more and more. But yes, do as Loy suggests, yank the Neo mod outta yer box and let the Magic do all the work.

and if taking your neo 2 out doesn't work, try turning caps lock off...
