Disabling a modchip.
Hello, I've got a ps2 slim that is chipped with a Prodigy v3. I would like to run FMCB, but I get the logo screen looping over and over, and after having made sure that all the files FMCB requires are in place and properly configured, I think the cause might be that both the memory card and the modchip are issuing the ps2 boot commands, causing the loop.
I've tried to search around the internet for instruction on how to disable this chip on boot, and tried some of the other chip methods (you never know) but so far no success.
The only info I've gathered about this chip is that was initially developed by Origa brothers on TitanSX and further on it got re-elaborated by BadBoy. I've tried to look for ways to disable the TitanSX aswell (thinking the two chips might share the same procedure), but no success aswell.
Anyone knows how to disable or if it's possible to disable this chip at all?
Thanks in advance.
I have an hold PS2 (PCH30009) where I'0k also trying to RUN FMCB. I believe I have the same trouble because the PS2 was MODDED.
I was more radical and removed the MODchip, but my PS2 still only run with Original games.
Where you able to put yours working?
