Check if any shorts are being caused as a result of the metal plate touching down on stuff when you put your console back together. See if it boots while the console has been taken apart. If that doesn't work, try using different media (I switched from Verbatim to TDK and that solved a lot of grief, albeit temporarily).

If your coils are at 1.5ohms that means you need to put a new coil on or get a new laser unit all together (that's a better idea). The LA chip won't fix your coil values.

no never replaced the laser just coils .
I just removed chip and still cant read any disks so something is poked i am thinking laser.
by the by how bright should the laser be because mine is very dull can hardly see it even when no disk is in and top cover removed...

Try replacing the laser. I bet that's the problem. Since you replaced the la chip and the the coil already. If you're still having problems then you probably messed up somewhere during the installation of the new la chip.

You can't test the laser. Actually you already did kinda.. it was getting disc read errors.
