    I found the SecondEdition at r o b o t p i g.com

The SE is much cheaper and it has a v12 fix

SE is the product of the other part of the Matrix Team. It has problems saving the settings and well saving the settings will totally mess the chip. I would suggest you to go for the original. (even that is more expensive) The V12 fix on the SE is totally useless, go for the summ0ne fix to get some extra protection for your PSTwo.

    There are 2 MAtrix teams?

But why do the one make good chips and the others bad/fake chips?

And if i buy 50 of the Matrix originals, where can i get them for a bulk-price?
I just opened a little modchip-store and i have next 4 weeks about 50 PS for modding!

    OK.

but why do the Matrix Team(orig.) on they website -infinitymod.com- say that the Chip "Does not support copied or import game discs."

Or do i need a special firmware???

There are different fw's according to the country's legal policies. You can find both on their site. You can take a look into the vendor's section to pick up a dealer, of course to choose and to suggest one mostly deppends on where you live. Homer is one of the reliable ones, and he's selling the original MI, but there are others aswell, I do not recommend the clone, you'll have angry costumers after the chip fails to save the settings and die in the end. The Matrix saga was talked over several times, but I am sure that this saga will never end.
