Did my modchip die?

ok my ps2 was workin fine with my magic 2 but thursday night i tried to boot a playstation 2 game it quickly went to the brower / system config menu. then to the browser screen and then to the please insert ps2 disc in a matter of 30 sec. i did this ten times and still wont work is there something wrong with the chip or a lose wire or something.

Something could have come loose, your laser might need cleanig, etc. Try an original game, a dvd backup, and a cd backup and see what you get.

ok i tryed originals, cdr, dvdr annd it keeps doing the same thing how do i clean the laser?

buy a blaze laser clean disc from ebgames for like 9 bucks. or take apart or ps2 and use 80% alcohol with a cotton swap.
