Did I get duped with this messiah2

Alright I got this messiah 2 Pro about a week ago from a well known vendor on this site. I won't mention who it is until I can get some more answers and address this with the seller. Well I was peeling off the sticker on the back of the chip and noticed that it looked like there was more than one sticker. The top sticker description was off center as you will see. I couldn't make out the full description. I took off the top layer and couldn't really see anything. I flipped it over and it looked like there was text that was off center from the text on the reverse side. Well I managed to seperate the top layer from the bottom and indeed there was something else written there. I had to take the bottom layer and place it on a backlit surface to make it out. Here are the pics. The first one shows the top layer..

there is nothing out of place about that messiah 2! .. have some faith with others. what makes you think this way any way ??? .. I mean you havn't install the thing yet ....... hum.....

I assume he is wondering whether it is a euro version or a pro version.

exactly.. What good is the euro going to do in my us version 7. Not to mention you can't make out the top sticker. Also with two stickers being placed on the chip. Wouldn't you think that is kind of deceptive. I personally don't want to spend a couple of hours installing the chip. And find out that it doesn't work.

Also isn't it important for all of you to know who's doing this. As I mentioned. This is a well known person. I personally don't want anyone else to go through this. If this was an honest mistake.. So be it.. But having multiple stickers on a chip..That is something to wonder about. Plus had I not been so observant.. Spent the time to install it and it didn't work.. I would have spent countless more hours diagnosing for what. Something that wouldn't work to begin with.

I am thinking this is a later revision because of the PCB being drilled out. My M2 I ordered was a firmaware revision 1.22 (I think) and I had to cut the trace. (No PCB drilled.) They started doing this on the later revisions.

I am not all that concerned with the revision. It's the fact that this may be a euro chip. I ordered a pro chip for my "US v7".

i would doubt that its a EURO since not alot of PAL machines in north america. its most likely a PRO.
