Guys does this make any sense? does this person just don't know what they were doing? here's an email an installer who works at a .com site sent me. I have a ps2 v7 and he 1st installed a DMS3 w/o testing. I got it back and found that it only played cd's, ps2 cds and orginal dvd's it didn't give me a DRE it just didn't read my ps2 dvd's and dvd'rs but w/o the chip it reads everything. I sent it back and he installed dms4 and tried the matrix
hello,
i tested the system again with another chip and it would boot up cdr ps2 games, but when it comes dvdr ps2 games, it says unable to read. So i tested the ps2 with a dvdr movie to test if the laser is working fine with dvdr movies and it works fine. So i dont think it the laser, but i tested the system with a dms4 lite and the issue is still the same. It not the chip and not the wiring, so i'm not sure what the issue can be, but i think the only choice i have is to remove the chip and send the system back to you the way it was, it boots all orignal fine as well. and refund your money for installation service since i can't

sounds highly suspicious, if it worked before the mod, it should work after the mod. maybe it might require a bit of tuning to read different media types but the installer should know how to get it going.
