Hi,
I know that I would need 22ga and 30ga wires, so I went to my local radio shack and got a set of "enamel-coated magnet wire" are they the right one? Because they don't seem to be coated with the plastic body.

most people prefer to use kynar coated wires, but enamel will work fine. don't try to strip the wires, put some solder on the tip of your soldering iron and touch to the end of the wire, it should melt the enamel off and leave the wire tinned.
enamel wires are no good.. i would buy the right stuff.
i got 2 different opinion, can anyone put in their 2 cents?
netmeach is right in that you are better off buying the correct wires, kynar. i am just saying enamill will work fine if you want to deal with them, they are harder to work with but they do work. i've used them in the past but won't touch them now...
ok,i guess i'll go get the kynar wires.
Kynar, teflon, tefzel, whaever you will take it will be 100 times better than the enameled ones.
