Demo Disc Problem

Okay...here's a weird one. I have a v2 PS2 with a neo2.2 in it (yeah, I know it's old). Everything works great...or did. I was playing orginals, cd-r, and imports just fine. Then just recently I bought the latest OPM mag, and wanted to check out the demos on the disc. Long story short...my PS2 will not play demos anymore....it plays everything else on the OPM disc though. Just no games!!! It did play the demos after being chipped. All other games still play fine and w/o a prob.

I've run several DVD cleaner discs on the system, still everything but demo games will run from the discs. Any suggestions?

Maybe the particular disk has the games in PAL format (the DVD videos are usually region free).

Thanks, checked on that. All discs are NTSC. It's ALL demo discs published by the Official U.S. Playstation Mag. For some reason, just the games section of these discs will not read on my PS2 anymore. Videos and DLs work great.
