Damn red screen

hi

i have a ps2(v4) with a magic3.1 it not read dvd so i bought a new lens but it still not boot but gave a red screen

what is the proplem with this?

i try to adjust the black screw and the proplem is still

plz help me

Did you try another brand of media? Slow burning (1x)? Another burn program? Do some tests, perhaps on a DVD-RW, these work fine in my PS2, so you don't get coasters everytime.

yeah try a different dvd media verbs or memorex. and slow your burn down too. but if that dont work get ridd of the chip.

Isn't the red screen means the chip is not working. You will get general read error or hang at Playstation logo if it is a media error.

No, I had a Magic that would red screen all of the time. Replaced with Messiah and everything is good. Same media, same lens, same everything except chip.

I am just saying DVD provide the content and mod chip handle the authendication. So if it is a problem readind the media (either the laser or the disk issue). you would get a error like not able to read disk or sometime it will boot to Playstaion Logo then hang. You won't get the red screen which is you don't have a valid disk (ie mod chip is not doing its job authendicating the disk). A better test would be if you can boot original DVD game with Magic chip turn on and also with the Magic chip turn off. Just try to help you id the problem.

i am telling you from experience the magic chip works just like randy moss when it wants to. take that chip out and get a messiah you wont be dissappointed.
