Got me chip & pretty much ready to go. How ever just a couple of questions about the general installation of the chip.

First of all is it best to come onto the via's flat like so
    i120.photobucket.com/albums/o176/jedi_master_yoda/ps2.jpg

(Excuse the grubbyness of the pic , old V3 board I had lying around so was abit dirty)

Secure enough and not going anywhere , but on some of the install pics it looks like people put a slight bend on them to drive them down into it? , although that could just be angle of pic.

    2) Power and ground wire.

I know they are suppose to be thicker wire than the rest (22-24awg?) , but single or multicore?. Can't really tell on the install pics as the ends as covered in solder and would of thought larger guage single core might be a bit heavy and pull stuff off.

    3) Wire length & general routing.

Whats the best way to go about this?. Position chip and solder longer than needed wire to all points on chip , then cut to size , strip and tin as you are ready to do that point?. Or just position chip on board , then do one wire at time , cutting it to length , prepping it and solder to chip and board. Or something inbetween.

Just looking to make my life easier in regards to wire length & routing when I do it

    Thanks .

What i did was cut all the wires longer than needed. Then i striped one side and soldered them to the points, then routed them to the chip and glued them down, cut them to length and striped the other ends, then soldered them to the chip. The most important thing is to plan ahead. Plan where your wires will go then solder them.

    Which chip do you have?

Had a matrix infinity. Done it now , not the neatest install but seems to be working fine.

Although one thing I will say is , Never again. Absoulute pain in the ass.

Thanks for wire tip though .
