    i have done a few v9's with mxl2's & sometimes find corrupt logo on boot, but only sometimes, also find it does not get even as far as logo they just crash , there is very little mentioned here about this problem here, so it appears to be just me...the only link i found the guy tried to resolve this only to get rsod anyone got any idea.........gonna try shorten earth wire 1st after that i'm stuck

    I think it has to do with chip code or the compatibility, I wouldn't put my bets on the wires.

    Its down to the wires on the grnd and 3.3v, either they are not thick enough or they need to be shortened, if that doesnt solve it it could also be a corrupt wire, ive had this problem with 1 of my installs using a MATRIX MXL2, i shortened my grnd and 3.3 v wire and it sorted the problem, at the worst case it can be a motherboard problem, but try the above first, and it should sort your problem. This was confirmed by MATRIX!

    DEFFO the wires as stated above long we are talking data lines here not standard points wire length is important.

    thanks for that, i know the board is ok & the wires are thick enough so i'm gonna move the chip tomorrow to it's recommended spot will post back

    I had the same problem too, with a v9 + MXL2 as well. I resoldered all the points and the problem went away, personally I believe it is related to the H wire (on the DVD controller). I soldered the via myself instead of the chip leg.

    I also used the vias and got the same problem, its deff down to the wire length.
