Controller issues, no memory card (Magic III)
Controller issues, no memory card (Magic III) –

Hi everyone,
I got a magic 3 installed on a v5. All games boot fine, but the controller goes on and off while playing and it does not recognize any memory cards.. It was working fine before the modchip installation.
Any Ideas? Alos, I have been Searching so hard to find what each point on Modchips are.. So then I could maybe better pinpoint what aspect I messed up in based on the outcome.

Make sure it's not the memory card itself that's damaged. Try another memory card.

Man, I found out what it is. The little clip thing on the motherboard on which the ribbon clamps onto, half of it is off it’s solder.. When I was turning it over with the ribbon clamped on, it got “jerked” out and looks like it pulled the clip off it’s solder.. Man, I have tired to solder it back on (extremely difficult) and now it’s on. But looks like I got some bridges now.. Ahhhhhh…
Any Advice on cleaning it out and getting it on right?

I have that same problem except it read my memory card for a while and then fried it and now it won't work in my good ps2.
