I just tried something different and here's the result; I put an original DVD movie and booted it in default ps2 mode(hit reset once). It sometimes play the movie directly and sometimes go into browser and show the DVD movie as a PS2 DVD game. Isn't it always supposed to go to browser and show the movie as a ps2 DVD game?

No not always. Most of the time with a Magic V it will start right ways. Just tap reset and the game will start.

I had your problem on one mod install I did a while ago. Make sure your power/ground are thicker wires and keep it real short. Go around the Magic V and resolder each point again, sometimes it could be a cold solder point. Anyway, I did this and my PS2 works everytime.
