Comsoft V3 fix, is working but!
Comsoft V3 fix, is working but! –
Hello, I just installed a comsoft v3 and want to know if its in right, I followed the online diagram perfectly other than the ground which I have soldered in a dif place.
Is there a way of testing to see if its correctly installed?

Ok cool, It seems to shut down the laser when the ps2 crashes. The only guide I can find says to turn the ps2 on from standby with the lid open, and it should not boot up, mine does. All my solder points look fine, the only thing which is hard to check is the cut track. Is there a way to check this?
Only other thing is that wire x on the comsoft goes to the same point on the pcb as the modchip. Could anyone comfirm that this is going to be ok, still cant get the ps2 not to boot with the lid open after checkng every solder joint.
which modchip do u use?
check the X to see if its connectd correctly
Its a super 7, Yes wire x is connected, as is wire 1 from the chip.
Ok it will work if I disconnect wire 1 from this chip, http://www.neoasic.com/super7.htm Can anyone tell me if this is safe? what does the wire x on the comsoft do?
woopdydoo employees, I re soldered the x wire and wire 1 with a bigger blob of solder, still pretty damn small but bigger. It now will not turn on with the lid up.
I would appreciate any response regarding the safety I now have for my laser.
Thanks to comsoft, and to this site.
All the best.
**** **** **** played kof for a bit now its turning on with the lid open.
