Hi i am deciding to buy a premod. But i do not knoe which chip, the price isnt of concern. I like the DMS4, Ghost2, Matrix Inifinity, and Crystal Chip.
But i cant tell the difference between the 4, and the price difference?
can anyone tell me which ones can play back ups and which cannot?
Because i hear that the CrystalChip cannot play BackUps/Imports.
    Or most features?
    Thank you

Crystal plays backups with the hacked firmware. The DMS4 needs the Toxic Bios/OS if you want to play backups. The Matrix Infinity is a great chip too. The Crystal chip has a program called bootmanager that can play homebrew files. Matrix infinity has a similar program. Ghost2 has those features with the firmware disc and manager disc. The ghost2 flashes are not allowed here. I heard it has a built in debugger for those programmers but the ps2dev software can do that. I hope this helps.

They make different chips cause there are different groups of people who wants a share of the ps2 modchip market. That's the only reason I could think of. As for what modchip you should get I would choose the Matrix Infinity for no reason other than I have no problems with them whatsoever.

Is there any external chip that just plugs into the back, that simply enables you to play burned copies of your games?

What chip is needed if I want to play burned games? (without a boot disc)
Just simply a burned backup copy of my game.

Any one of the above listed chips so long as they have the right firmware flashed to it...

I heard the DMS4 has had problems. But some people say it does cause problems.
