Not if your TV is not multi-system. There are no DVD game patches that I know of although CD games can be patched (www.megagames.com).
For your purpose on the one PAL only TV we have, (the other is mult-system), we have a NTSC-PAL convertor that we bought from Maplins. Does the business.
maybe someone can help me to understand this fully!
when I put in a NTSC game in a PAL PS2 it is black and white on a PAL TV. OK
When I use a RGB-cable on a cheap normal PAL TV it is in color, does anyone know the tech. background of it?

i dunno the tech about it, but i know it worx
but the irritating thing of the RGB cable is that when you're playing DVD movies (i have a messiah) you get green screen (well, maybe there's a fix for this, but i'll keep swapping cables- hardly use the thing for dvd's anywayz
)
What you have said (read it again) is very confusing. But the technical background is this.Originally posted by h90

The PS2 puts out the back whatever the game is. NTSC or PAL. If you have a PAL TV, they come in two types:
- Multisystem - they accept and properly display PAL and NTSC signals
- PAL only - they do not properly display NTSC signals
PAL signals cycle at 50Hz and scan across 625 lines; NTSC signals cycle at 60Hz and scan across 525 lines.
So unless the PAL TV is multisystem, it will not corrrectly resolve the NTSC signal.
That's it.
I may have found the RGB Fix for the v7. I haven't verified it becasue I haven't got the problem. So the offered fix is at your risk I'm afraid.
Hope it works for you.
Cheers Charlie. I will give it a blast. Anyone discovered th Pal60hz colour fix yet?
You can buy a ntsc-pal converter at lan-kwei. They have pal converters they cost about $10.00 or something like that. They are good for pal games. I hope this helps.
I have tried Charlie_ps2's diagram for the NTSC fix but unfortunately it doesn't work. Thanks for that anyways Charlie.

P.S. If it would have worked, then you could solder pins 48 and 49 together, as pin 48 goes directly to ground and there would be no need to solder a wire to pin 49.
It's not an NTSC fix which I presume you mean the NTSC to PAL60hz fix,it's the RGB fix.
