Cheapest v12 chip –
Well, I was gonna get a crystal chip but I've came up a little short on cash. So, what is the cheapest v12 chip? I just want to be able to play games without gay swap methods or other dumb little switch tricks. Remember, the cheapest chip, not the best... also, I'd like a small wire count... really just an easy install as I'm still not a pro at soldering...
Modbo are cheap, if you don't mind it being a clone
Mars chip has more wires, but ive found it very stable and easy to install in v12 models. Always work at once after install for me. Dosent matter for me if it has 4 wires more than normal. If you manage to solder 1 wire, you can do 19 or 23.
cosmo 1.1 is auto detect, auto boot, dvd region free and $22 Australian
subzero uses final ice and is auto detect and $22 Australian
not sure if available in USA
Magic KX plus found here or the subzero 2, probably are the best for what you are asking for and are not clones...
Alrite guys, I looked into all the chips mentioned. Magic KX is $40 ... that's too much. I couldn't find the subzero chip anywhere??? Cosmo... I couldn't find. And Mars... I never found one saying it was V12 compatiable??? To be honest, the only chip I found that was in my price range and had the features I want was the Modbo ... can anyone tell me more about this? What firmware does it use? Is it reliable? Autodetect?....
Modbo is a Matrix Infinity clone has 1.38 firmware. only thing wrong with it is you can't change the firmware and config settings can't be saved. other than that it is a good chip with of features for the price. Matrix Infinity SE and NH9 are another Matrix Infinity clone sames as the Modbo that is cheap and v12 compatible also
Muppet is good can be had for $20US
i tried so called Apple 70k in v12 and v13 it works just fine. it's an ice knock-off chip, priced around 5 bucks in bulk . it was a surprise to me when testing it. a dirty cheap chip !
K, lemme ask you this, should i get an ice chip knockoff or a matrix knockoff? And which knockoff?
